Just an update and new pics...
Cade is now 19 1/2 months old. He is getting so much bigger. All four of his K-9 teeth have now broken through his gums and are working their way up. He'll look so much more grown up once those come all the way through. I'm excited and sad about that all at the same time...
Cade has also learned to climb. Our friends Gina and Lee brought their little boy, Teegan, (he's 2 years and 1 month) over on Saturday night. Teegan taught Cade to climb up the side of his crib... (He already knew how to climb on a lot of things, just not the crib.) It was cute at the time, but now that's just one more skill he can get himself in trouble with!! LOL...
Yesterday was a pretty cool day. When I dropped Cade off at my aunt and uncles, my uncle was walking up from his morning walk with his dog, Charlie. I said, "Look Cade, here comes Charlie". Then Cade randomly says, "Cha-wee". It was so cute. I got him to say it again later when I called and talked to him on the phone, but other than that he won't say it anymore. None the less I'm a very proud mommy. (Lucas seems to think this means that Cade will be Einstein or Doogie Howser! LOL)
I'm putting up some pics from Mother's Day, our neice Marti's Pre-K graduation, pics of Cade meeting Jason White at the new Q'Doba in Norman. (You should go eat there, the food is great and our friends Courtney and Kevn own it!!) Cade took right to Jason like he was one of his uncles or something. It was kind of funny.
There are also a few pics from this weekend at the mall. Cade spent the day with his Grandma and Grandpa Floyd. They went to the dachshund races and then to the mall and rode some of the kiddie rides. Apparently, Cade got $3 out of grandma before she ran out of cash. Then he was pretty upset that he wasn't going to get to ride anymore... (poor guy!)
Enjoy the pics!!

Cade's New Swing Set
Our little man got a brand new swing set this weekend. My mom has been planning to buy him a swing set for a couple of months now. We finally got it on Friday night. Lucas and my uncle worked very hard all day Saturday to put it together. Since my aunt and uncle keep him while Lucas and I work, we put the swing at their house. This way he'll have plenty to do all summer long.
I knew he would really like the swing part of the swing, but I thought he'd be intimidated by the slide. (He's never really liked the slides at the park.) But, he wasn't intimidated by it at all. In fact, within just a few minutes he learned to climb up the slide and slide down with help. After about an hour he didn't even really need help. (Just someone to stand nearby in case something goes wrong.) I am so proud of how quick he took to it. Check out the video below.
I want to take this opportunity to tell my mom thank you so much for buying this swing for Cade. I know he will have so much fun on it this summer and for many springs and summers to come. We love you very much and are very grateful!
Lucas and I are so blessed to both have families that are so loving toward Cade. It truly takes a village to raise a child and I can't think of a better village than the one we have!! I love all of you guys!!
I hope you enjoy the pics and video!

P.S. I also want to throw in a picture from last week. Me, my mom and Grandpa Floyd went out to eat last Sunday afternoon. While we were waiting for a table, Cade decided that he should go and sit down on a bench all by himself. He climbed up there by himself and everything. He looked so grown up sitting there.

Cade Laughing at Daddy
I just wanted to get this video up of Cade laughing at Lucas being silly. Lucas was jumping around and doing all sorts of silly stuff and Cade thought it was hilarious!
Bon Jovi Concert Oklahoma City 4/15/08

Last December during my office Christmas party each employee got to choose a Christmas present from the company. There were all sorts of great gifts. I had a hard time trying to choose between a beautiful Coach bag and a pair of Bon Jovi tickets. Well I decided on the tickets and now I know I made the right choice. The concert was last night. By bosses, Neal and Vicki, took Lucas and I and their friends Scott and Amy out to dinner at Bourbon Street before the concert. I had been there a couple of times before, but not in quite a while. The food was good and it was a nice atmosphere. The thing we noticed most was that there were tons of tables with only girls at them. Bricktown was packed with people going to the concert.
After dinner we headed over to the Ford Center for the concert. We got there right on time because we were barely in our seats before Daughtry came on. We were in Section 201. It's in the club level section (2nd tier) of the Ford Center. We were center with the stage, just far back. Daughtry was good, but kind of hard to get into because they didn't have any screens where you could see their faces. (And oh would I have loved to get a good look at Chris Daughtry!!)You'll notice the pictures that are just a band and no screens, those are of Daughtry. Daughtry played about 45 mintues and then Bon Jovi came on.
Bon Jovi was so awesome. Lucas and I danced and sang along to most of the songs. We laughed a lot, danced a ton and took lots of video and pictures. The most amazing thing was how great Jon Bon Jovi looks. He has so much energy and stamina and their music is still so fresh. I can still feel the music in my veins!!! Oh it was awesome...
I'm attaching the pictures I took in a slide show and then all the videos are below. In some of the videos you can hear me singing along... Sorry if that ruins it for you!!
Thanks for letting me share!!

Easter 2008

I just wanted to get some pictures up from Easter 2008. We had a nice Easter. Cade and I went to church Sunday morning and then we went to Lucas’ parents for most of the day. Most everyone from Lucas’ mom’s side of the family came over. It was great to get to see everyone. Cade hunted Easter eggs with his two cousins Alissa (age 8) and Marti (age 5). It was a lot of fun because this was the first year that Cade was old enough to be able to hunt. He would get really excited when he would see an egg. He would run over and pick it up real fast. Then when he got two he would clash them together in excitement! The only bad part was they were hunting real eggs, so it made a bit of a mess. But it was so cute, I couldn’t really complain! I hope everyone else’s Easter was great. Below the pictures is a video of Cade playing in the bathtub last week. It's really cute. Enjoy the pics!
